Peri gala - is not located in the city itself, but in the mountain range near the village, located approximately 20 km from the city. However, according to sources, Peri (Pəri) is the name of the Avar ruler who ruled in these lands even before they fell (for some time) under the influence of the Georgian queen Tamara. Conventionally, the monument dates back to the 4th - 5th centuries and is considered a Zoroastrian temple. Indeed, in Iran, there are also Zoroastrian temples carved into the rocks.
